Cats and Cars are expensive

Yep. The car cost a little under $3,000 to fix. The cat (Dexter) is back at the vet's today for a checkup to see if the insulin dose is right. Both of the above have put a little dent in my plans to get back into flying (see http://stevesflying.blogspot.com/ for more info).

I won the January monthly medal at golf last Saturday - pretty happy with the way I played, except for one hole (where I had 5 off the tee, for an 8 - that hurt). Ended up winning the overall comp with the best nett score of 67. Should have been much lower, but that's golf.

I play golf at Longford in Tasmania, which is a pretty nice 11 hole course (1st seven holes are common to both nines, with a separate 8,9 and 17,18). Par 71 course, not too hilly, good fairways, lots of low hanging branches to slow golf balls down.

We bought a 46" LCD television after Christmas, which came with a bonus Playstation 3 - which arrived last week. All the nephews and nieces come to visit now, but I think they come to visit the PS3, not Debbie and me.

All for today - more later in the week.
